Patricia A. Zegarelli, 73, of Utica, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born in Utica on May 11, 1944, a daughter of the late Jerry A. and Bernice (Lesher) Zegarelli. Her mother passed away when she was a young girl and Patricia was raised by her stepmother Genevieve (Borek) Zegarelli. For 40 years she was employed with the Sears and Roebuck Co. Patricia was of the Catholic faith. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Community Theatre group and women's Republican organizations . Patricia is survived by her two sisters, Dominica (Nikki) Stewart, of Utica and Cynthia Conigliaro, of Galway, NY, nieces and nephews, Gregory and Denise Stewart, Jennifer Stewart, Allison Mannino, Christopher and Victrine Lupa, Jeremy and Denise Lupa, David Conigliaro, and Melissa and Kevin Loveless, two great nephews, Ryan and Joshua Loveless, an aunt, Nancy Hrbyniak and best friends, Karen and Enid. Patricia was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Joseph Lupa, a brother-in-law, Elliott Stewart and three aunts, Josephine Hall, Muriel McDonnell and Rose Zegarelli. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Those so wishing may make a donation to a charity of their choice in Patricia's memory.
