Marilyn L. Schwalbach, 73, of Marcy passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, June 19, 2017. Marilyn was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 19, 1944. In Rochester, NY on August 29, 1964 she was united in marriage to David J. Schwalbach, a blessed union of 52 years. Marilyn was employed with Met Life for several years until her retirement. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church and a former trustee of the church. Marilyn is survived by her husband, David, her children, Lisa Bowen and husband, Terry, and Eric Schwalbach and wife, Heidi, three grandchildren, Danielle, Nicole and Kevin and her beloved pets, Kandi and Emmet. A memorial funeral mass for Marilyn will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM from St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church, Utica. There are no calling hours. The family will greet people at the conclusion of the mass. Those so wishing may make donations to the Mother Marianne's West Side Kitchen or the Stevens-Swan Humane Society. The family would like to thank Rev. Richard Dellos and Rev. Anthony LaFache for their friendship and spiritual guidance.
