Mr. Patrick (Pat) J. Rose, affectionately known by many as "Uncle Pat", 79, of Utica, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare with his loving family by his side. Patrick was born in Utica on June 18, 1938, the son of Dominick and Lucia (Pietropaolo) Rose. He was raised and educated in Utica and received additional training from Westinghouse Electric in Yorkville. For 40 years, Pat was employed as a troubleshooter with Westinghouse Electric until his retirement. He was a member of St. Anthony and St. Agnes Church in Utica and enjoyed hunting, golf and going to the casino. Mr. Rose is survived by his loving daughter, Francine Rose of Rome; two cherished granddaughters, Victoria Breen and Jessica Breen both of Rome; one sister, Isabelle Guido of Utica; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Michael and Florence Rose of New Hartford, Dominick Jr. (Doc) and Carmella Rose of Utica and Ronald Rosa of Utica; Pat's best friend and longtime companion, Cynthia Jones; special friends with whom Pat golfed with, Pete, Timmy, Mike, Lester and Little Stevie as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Joseph DeGeorge, Adeline and Frank Juliano and Angela Rosa (June 26, 2017); his brother, John Rosa and his in-laws, Lynda Rosa and Raymond A. Guido. Mr. Rose's funeral will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. His Rite of Committal and burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday from 4:00-7:00 P.M.
