Shirley M. Woodland, 95, of the Lutheran Care Community passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017. Shirley was born in Utica on May 23, 1921 a daughter of Frederick and Josephine (Beetz) Schaal. For many years she was employed at Kohlers Restaurant in Utica. She was of the Catholic faith. Shirley is survived by a daughter-in-law, Ann Woodland, two grandsons, Richard Woodland Jr. and Todd Woodland and a niece, Carolyn Watson. Shirley was predeceased by a son, Richard Woodland, Sr, a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Roberta Schaal and her very dear friend, Stanley Sychtysz. A service for Shirley will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 10:00 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. There are no calling hours.
