Clinton – Adella V. Suders, 94, who had been living with her daughter in Waterville, and formerly of Proctor Ave. in Clinton, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the Katherine Luther RHC & RC in Clinton. Adella was born January 20, 1923 in Utica, the daughter of Nicholas and Jenny (Dischiavi) Guido. She was raised and educated in Clinton, graduating from Clinton High School. She went on to graduate from beauty school, and owning salons in Utica and Clinton. On September 4, 1948, Adella married James E. Suders in St. Mary’s Church, Clinton. Mr. Suders passed away in 2001. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and had been attending St. Bernard’s Church in Waterville. Adella is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Robert McNamara, Waterville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Deborah Suders, Clinton, Nicholas and Susan Suders, Yorkville; ten grandchildren, Jacqualine (& Brian) Crossway, Waterville, William (& Paula) Baker, Waterville, Michael Suders, Penfield, NY, Cortney (& Chris) Lucente, Illinois, James Suders, Clinton, Lisa Suders, Troy, NY, Ann Suders (& John DeTraglia), New Hartford, William (& Stefany) Hutchison, Oriskany Falls, Rachel Hutchison, Florida, Robert Hutchison, Saratoga, NY; nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Also surviving is her brother and two sisters-in-law, Anthony and Rose Guido, Vestal, NY, Charlotte Guido, Whitesboro, NY. She is predeceased by a sister, Catherine Guido, and a brother, Ralph ‘Doc’ Guido. Mrs. Suders’ funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, Clinton, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Utica. Calling hours for the family will be held Monday evening, from 5 – 7 pm at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton. The family offers their thanks and heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Katherine Luther Residential Healthcare Center & Rehabilitation Center, especially the Applewood Unit, for the care and compassion shown to Adella during her stay.
