UTICA – Steve R. Mazurowski, 66, of Utica, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his home. Steve was born October 23, 1950, the son of Edwin and Gertrude (Liendecker) Mazurowski. He was raised and educated in Remsen, and after graduating, went on to serve his country with the US Air Force. Steve married Michelle Darrow, who predeceased him in 2014. He was employed with Bosserts, and later for Kelsey Hayes in Utica. Steve enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and backgammon. He was of the Catholic faith. Steve is survived by four sons, Steve R., Jr. and Jeannine Lee Mazurowski, Utica, Oliver J. and Stacey Mazurowski, Schuyler, Craig and Jackie Mazurowski, Florida, Brendan Mazurowski, Utica; eight grandchildren, Janyse, Oliver, Jazlyn, Alyssa, Jaylene, Craig Jr., Isabella, and Jacob; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Trudy and Jim Worden, Marcy, Cindy Lucas, Florida, Melody and Patrick Russo, Canastota; a brother and brother-in-law, Wayne Mazurowski and Christopher Nelepovitz, Syracuse; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also leaves dear friends, Eddie and Annie, Keith and Annie, Nicky, JJ, Joe and the club, Jenny, Kimmy, and Dallas, as well as countless others, including those at the Michael Walsh Apts. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5 – 7 prior to the service.
