Mr. Allison G. Colp, 74, of Utica, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Utica with his loving family by his side. Allison was born in Utica on February 17, 1943 the son of Allison and Gladys (Dean) Colp. He was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. Allison was a self employed entrepreneur in the Utica Area. He enjoyed and had a love for driving limousine and more importantly truly loved his friends whom he would drive for. He also enjoyed all forms of entertainment especially music. Allison is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Gary Van Namee of New Hartford; his son, Allison Colp, Jr., "AJ" of Stittville; two cherished granddaughters, Brittany LaDue and Alyssa LaDue; his beloved lifelong friend, Bridgett Buffa of Stittville and her children, Jamie Combs and her husband Rob of NC, Amy Barril of Utica and Nicholas Buffa and his wife Connie of Marcy; Al's angels, Amber, Alex, Stephanie, Jimmy, Skye and Brooke and two brothers, Robert Colp of Oriskany and Everett Colp of Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Monday, February 27, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica followed by a prayer at the conclusion of the visitation. Burial will be held at the convenience of his family. A special thank you to our friends, especially Allison's many many friends at the Village Pub, for the love and support you showed to Allison and his family during this most difficult time.
