UTICA – Lawrence “Larry” S. Pavese, 63, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 27, 2017. Larry was born February 17, 1953, in Utica, the son of Lawrence and Bridget (LoGuidice) Pavese. He was raised and educated locally, receiving his Associates degree from Mohawk Valley Community College and then his Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts & Lettering from Buffalo University in 1974. Larry was employed with the US Postal Service for over 30 years. On April 14, 2003, Larry was united in marriage to Karen Clements-Willsey in Utica. He enjoyed fishing and metal detecting and loved his dogs, Bozo and Scrappy, like they were his children. Larry is survived by his wife, Karen Pavese, Utica; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kerry Bishal, N. Syracuse, Sheila and John Cook, Little Falls, Danielle and John Herringshaw, Little Falls; thirteen grandchildren, Rachel, Nicholas, Johnathon, Rebekah, Victoria, Alyson, Kali, Gabriela, David, Nathaniel, Brad (Bugger), Shane, Michael; three great-grandchildren, Dominic, Owen, Mason; and a brother, Daniel Pavese, Florida. He is also survived by two nieces. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, from 4 – 7 pm with Words of Remembrance being offered at 6:30 pm. Those wishing may donate to a Mental Health charity of your choice or to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society in Larry’s memory.
