Christine Anne Nederhand was surrounded by family when she went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 19, 2017. Christine was born in Utica on October 8, 1950 to the late Douglas F. and Patricia B. Talcott. She graduated from West Genesee High School in Camillus, New York in 1968. Christine went on to graduate from Auburn Community College in 1970 and later Upstate Medical Center School of Physical Therapy in 1972. Christine was a physical therapist at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital from 1972 -1978. She became chief of staff of physical therapy at St. Luke's from 1978 - 1980 after which she retired to become a stay-at-home mother to her three children. On July 9, 1977, Christine married her beloved husband, Anthonie Nederhand, in Richfield Springs, New York. Christine was an active member of her church, and she loved quilting, baking, gardening, and spending time with her family. Christine is predeaceased by her son, Kees Anthonie Nederhand. Christine is survived by her husband, Anthonie, daughters, Stacey Madore (husband Christopher) and Kimberly Keith (husband Chad), sister, Joan A. (Mandy) Hillard (husband Ray), brothers and sisters-in-law, Stef and Janny Van Driel and Kees and Tineke Jongkoen as well as her grandchildren, Madelyn and Jack Madore and Nora and Finley Keith. Christine is also survived by nieces Karin, Anne, Annemarie, Floortje, Eva, nephew, Rob, and many cousins. Calling hours will be held at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd. Utica, on Sunday January 22 from 4 pm- 7 pm. The memorial service will take place at 10:30 am on Monday, January 23 at Hope Alliance Church, 4291 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford.
