Lawrence F. Raux 1965 - 2016 Beloved Brother and Uncle FORESTPORT, NY - Lawrence F. Raux, 51, of Forestport, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica. Lawrence was born August 1, 1965 in Herkimer, NY, the son of Richard and Betty (Brown) Raux. He was raised and educated locally and a graduate of Proctor High School. Larry went on to work for NYS Office of Children and Family Services in Hudson, NY. He was an avid fisherman, a Yankee fan, and a Cowboy fan. Larry loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Larry is survived by seven siblings, Valerie and Anthony Montalbano, Rome, Rhonda Raux, Mohawk, Roxanne and Jackie Shamblin, GA, Kevin Raux, Forestport, David and Melissa Raux, Rome, Richard and Valerie Raux, WY, Randy and Jennifer Raux, Oneida; 10 nieces and nephews, Cameron, Valerie, Andrea, Danielle, Brendon, Benjamin, Kyla, Talon, Johanna, and Riley; as well as a great nephew and great niece, C.J. and Skylar. Also surviving is a special aunt, Carmella Guzski, Utica; and his girlfriend, Laurie Cook-Scotti, Rochester; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mr. Raux's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at 7 pm at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home, Wednesday evening, from 4 - 7 pm prior to the service. Those wishing may donate to your local humane society in Larry's memory.
