Ivonne Flores, 58, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Faxton-St Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford. Ivonne was born on August 12, 1958 in Manhattan, NY, the first born of 9 children to Ramona Garcia and Pedro Flores. She enjoyed gardening, riding her bike, outdoor activities and traveling. She especially loved spending quality time with her family and she adored her grandchildren. Ivonne also enjoyed helping others in the community. Ivonne was loved by many as she had a good heart and outgoing spirit. She will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten. Ivonne was predeceased by her father, Pedro Flores and youngest daughter, Vanessa Ortiz. She is survived by her mother, Ramona Garcia; her only daughter, Yvette Ortiz Flores; her 2 sons, Israel Ortiz, Jr. and Luis R. Ortiz, as well as 11 grandchildren, 5 brothers, 3 sisters, many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Visitation for family and friends are Wednesday, October, 19, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. A prayer will be offered at the conclusion of the visitation.
