Diane M. Parrish, 83, of Clinton, NY passed away at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center on July 23, 2016. Diane was born in Utica on September 26,1932 the daughter of Clarence M. and Esther (Ruttan) Doyle. She was raised and educated in Utica Schools , graduated from St. Lawrence University, and received her Masters Degree from South Conn. State University. In 1987 Diane was married to Gary Parrish, who she shared 29 wonderful years. She will be remembered for many things: her love of travel, bird watching, antiques, doll clubs and star gazing with her son in law. Diane was proud of the book she wrote with her daughter,about clothe dolls, her grandmother and great aunt made in Oswego. She was a member of the Questers, the Clinton garden club, and the Unitarian Universalist Church, New Hartford. Diane lived in many places: Utica, NY; Muncie, Indiana; Chillcothe, Ohio; Delmar, NY; Mundelein, Illinois; Batavia, NY; Birmingham, Alabama; North Haven, CT; Westlake, Ohio; and Clinton, NY. Diane is survived by her husband, Gary Parrish of Clinton; a son, David and his wife, Gail Edgington of Meriden, CT; a daughter, Lisa and her husband, Fred Ostrander of Oriskany; one brother, WM Doyle of Laguna Nigel, CA; three grandchildren, Heather Borak and Michael Edgington of Meriden CT., and Christopher Ostrander of New York Mills; six great grandchildren,Emily, Madilynn, Brendon, Eric and Kyle of Meriden, CT. and Quinntin of New York Mills; one nephew, James Doyle of Laguna Nigel, CA several cousins in Oswego, NY, and many dear friends. Memorial Visitation for Diane will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 4-7 at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 10 Higby Rd., New Hartford, NY with a service to be held at 7:00. Her burial in Oswego will be a later date, at the family's convenience.
