Mr. James J. Noeth, 62, of Alexandria, VA, formerly of Utica, NY, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Scripps Memorial Hospital in San Diego, CA. James was born in Albany, NY on June 24, 1953 the son of Carl James and Marcia (Gibney) Noeth. He was raised in Utica, was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, and earned his Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Binghamton. On May 23, 1981, James married Fleur de Lis Changco in Alexandria, VA. For many years, he was employed as an auditor with the National Science Foundation in Arlington, VA. James had a true passion for biking, traveling, snorkeling, and scuba diving; he also enjoyed boating and spending time at his summer home at Lake Anna. He was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Noeth is survived by his beloved wife Fleur; two sons Michael (Dagny) Noeth of Raleigh, NC and Jon (Melissa) Noeth of San Diego, CA; three cherished grandchildren, James Noeth, and Cassedy Noeth of Raleigh, NC and Mason Noeth of San Diego, CA; his father and step-mother, Carl and Julie Noeth of Clinton, NY; siblings: Donna (Richard) Moll of Rochester, NY, Mary (Stan) Wuest of Holland Patent, NY, William (Mary Lou) Noeth of Barneveld, NY and Jon (Angie) Noeth of Austin, TX as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Marcia. Mr. Noeth’s funeral will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Sacred Heart and St. Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa in NY Mills, NY where his Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. His Rite of Committal and burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Sunday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica.
