Eugene A. Carruth, Sr., 65, of North Utica passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 with his loving family by his side. Eugene was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 27, 1950, a son of the late Joseph and Ruth (Maddox) Carruth, Sr. Eugene received a Bachelor's Degree from University of Vermont. In Burlington, VT on June 11, 1972, he was united in marriage to Beverly Peters. For many years Eugene was employed with the General Electric Co. Eugene is survived by his wife, Beverly, his three children, Ruth Carruth of CT, Eugene Carruth, Jr. of Yorkville and Jennifer Carruth of Utica, six grandchildren, Shana, Tamia, Aiyana, Deija, and Devon Howard and Syncere Rumph, two brothers, Joseph Carruth, Jr. and Samuel Carruth, Sr. both of NJ and many nieces and nephews. Eugene was predeceased by a brother, John Carruth. A funeral service for Mr. Carruth will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica.
