Thomas J. LaClaire, 26, passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2016. Tom was born in Utica, on July 13,1989, the son of James and Debra (Baker) LaClaire. He was raised and educated in the Utica school system. He later, received an associate degree in auto technology from Morrisville College. Tom was formerly employed with Monro Muffler in Utica. Tom was a Acoustic Musician, who played in several local bands. He enjoyed ice hockey and watching Roller Derby. Thomas is survived by his parents, James and Debra at home; two sisters, Stacey E. and her husband Eric Subic of Bennington VT, and Kristin M. LaClaire and her fiancee, Ryan Connell of Central Square; one brother, Joseph W. and his girl friend Katie Kenny of New York Mills; and one special niece, Danielle Subic. He also leaves, three uncles, Walter Baker (Jeanette) of MD., Jeff Baker (Bonnie Colangelo) of Floyd, and Michael LaClaire of Utica; one aunt, Janet Davis (Alan) of New Hartford; several cousins; and his God parents, Don and Dawn Oliver of Utica. Thomas's funeral will be held Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 10:15 am from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Church, N. Utica, where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. His Burial will be at Crown Hill Memorial Park, Kirkland. Calling hour at the funeral home, will be from 4:00 until 7:00 pm Wednesday evening.
