Mrs. Beverly A. Brezinski, 79, of Utica, passed away on Sunday April 3, 2016 at Utica Rehab and Nursing Center (formerly St. Joseph Nursing Home) in Utica. Beverly was born in Utica on August 23, 1936 the daughter of Leo and Angela (Iezzi) Brezinski. She was raised in Utica and was a 1954 graduate of Proctor High School. For 42 years, Beverly was employed with St. Elizabeth Hospital until her retirement. After her retirement, she was employed part time with Pharmacy Solutions in Utica. Beverly was a lifelong active participant in the racing and homing pigeon sport. At one time, she was a member of all the local pigeon clubs, including, U.T.K, M.V.C. and was a current member of the Mid State Sportsman Racing Pigeon Club in Frankfort. She was also the current publicity writer for the American Racing Pigeon Union. Beverly was a parishioner of St. Anthony and St. St. Agnes Church in Utica, where she was a lector, Eucharistic minister and sang in the choir. Mrs. Brezinski is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and David Morelle of Oriskany; her Longtime loving companion, Walter Guminiak of Utica; two cherished grandchildren, Gerard Francis Wohlrab, III and his wife Faith, of Rome and Jennifer Lynn Wohlrab of Oriskany; one sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Anthony Monescalchi of Utica and one brother and sister-in-law, John and Mary Alice Brezinski of Frankfort as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brezinski's funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 12:00 noon at St. Anthony and St. Agnes Church where her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Her Rite of Committal and burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica prior to the funeral Mass.
