Mrs. Charlotte (Twinkie) H. Juckett, 81, of Schuyler, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford with her loving family by her side. Charlotte was born in Utica on March 21, 1934 the daughter of Harold and Isabel (VanWichen) Eldred. She was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. In Utica, on July 21, 1951, Charlotte married Irving (Tinker) A. Juckett, a devoted union of 65 years. For many years, she was employed with Con-Med Corporation until her retirement in 1997. Charlotte was a member of American Legion Utica Post 229 ladies Auxiliary, Schuyler Senior Center and Schuyler VFW where she enjoyed spending time with her "Pitch Family". She enjoyed going on bus trips to the casino, playing cards, especially pitch, and crocheting American flags for Utica post. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing shuffle board with her husband Irving. Charlotte was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and her family was truly her world. Mrs. Juckett is survived by her beloved husband, Irving (Tinker); four daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda and Ernie Latray of Sylvan Beach, Patti Ann and Robert Kehrli of Rome, Beverly Juckett of FL and Donna Huber and her companion Jon Doxie of Schuyler; 16 cherished grandchildren who affectionately call her Gigi: David Baris and Lori Alderwick, Christopher Baris, Dawn and Joseph Colangelo, John and Tina Arabia, Joseph Arabia, Michael Arabia, Janice and Warren McCollough, Sandra and Jeremy Vaugn, Rema Hynes, William Hynes, Sherry Hynes and Joe Jones, Patti Hynes, Robert Bougourd, Jr. and Cheryl Littlefield, Linda Starr and Vish Saugh, Karen and Charlie Summers and Janet and Shane Ardis; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ellen Viti of Clinton and Phyllis Ruth and Dayne Evans of Utica; In-laws, Mary Ellen and Andrew Spellicy of Stittville, Jane Schuderer of Marcy, Ella and Al Blades of Florida, Dorothy and James Bentley of Indiana and William and Jan Juckett of London, England; dear friends, who Charlotte considered her second daughters, Dorothy Voce and Edith Bartlett; a special friend, Pete Caiola, as well as 37 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and her pitch family and friends to numerous to mention. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Isabel and two sisters, Marion Tresa Kerrigan and Beverly Rose Johnston. Mrs. Juckett's funeral will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Her interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
