Donald John Siedsma, Jr., 54, of Clinton, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016, at his home with his family by his side. John was born January 16, 1961 in Canada. He was raised the son of Donald J. and Mary Siedsma in Clinton, NY, and a graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic Elementary School and Clinton Central High School. He was the owner and operator of JJ&B Construction. On October 20, 1990, John married Jodiann J. LaBarge in St. Patrick’s Church, Clayville. AA was a big part of John’s life, he was not only in recovery himself, but had become a great support to others in need. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved music, and enjoyed riding his Harley. John is survived by his wife, Jodiann, Clinton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Justin Siedsma (& Audra), Oneida, Benny and Kayla Siedsma, Camden; two daughters and a son-in-law, Desiree and Greg Richardson, Liverpool, Amanda Domres (& Tony), Fayetteville; five grandchildren, Haillie & Nathen Richardson, Austin Siedsma, Natalie Anderalli, and Konner Siedsma; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Rebecca Siedsma, Syracuse, Amy and Robert Daley, Saranac Lake; a sister-in-law, Carol Siedsma, Red Hook, NY. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, John is predeceased by a sister, Kathleen Meenan; and a brother, Joseph Siedsma. John’s funeral will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 9:30 am at St. Mary’s Church, Clinton, where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton, Thursday evening, (TODAY) from 4 – 7 pm.
