Mrs. Emilie M. Coyne, 91, a resident of the Masonic Care Community in Utica, formerly of Deerfield, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015 at the nursing home. Emilie was born in Utica on August 14, 1924 the daughter of Frank and Cissie (Burningham) Davis. She was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. On July 19, 1947 Emilie married Charles W. Coyne, a devoted union of 43 years until Charles' death in 1990. At one time, Emilie was employed with a local printing Company, Whitesboro High School and a local Craft store. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening and loved cats. Emilie was an active member of the former All Saints Church in Utica and volunteered her time at Stevens-Swan Humane Society. Mrs. Coyne is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Robert DuPrau of Poland and Cynthia and David Lowe of Deerfield; two cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth Pulluaim and her husband Charles of Deerfield and Robert DuPrau and his wife Abigail of Rochester; A special Friend, Kay Nagy of Deerfield and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Joan Doyle. Mrs. Coyne's funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 12:00 noon at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Her interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon prior to the funeral service.
