Debra May Wasyleski, 52, of Schuyler passed away on Sunday September 13, 2015 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Debra was born in Herkimer, NY on July 23, 1963, a daughter of Robert S. Wasyleski and Georgianna (Annie) Anderson. At one time she was employed with Laidlaw and Bernie Bus Companies. In her earlier years Debra enjoyed playing softball and bowling. Debra's motto in life was "Friends always come first". Debra is survived by her mother, Annie, two sisters, Melissa Olcott and husband Gilbert, of Rome and Michele Mitchell and John Kramer, of Canastota,, two brothers, Robert Wasyleski and wife Dawn, of Schuyler and William Derby, of Canastota, godson, Christopher Wasyleski, a special nephew, Michael Derby and 11 nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Debra will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 11:00 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Burial will take place in the West Schuyler Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 5-7. Those so wishing may make donations to the American Diabetes Association in Debra's memory.
