Daniel J. Pieloch, Jr., 51, husband of Donna Thrasher, of Oriskany, NY passed away unexpectedly on August 28, 2015. Dan was born on July 30, 1964, the son of Daniel J. and Virginia (Zalocha) Pieloch, Sr. He was raised and educated in Utica, was a graduate of John F. Kennedy high school and Mohawk Valley Community College. Dan's career started at Utica Boilers, where he was employed as a Design Engineer. He later worked for several local HVAC companies. He was currently employed at Engler Electric, Utica as an electrician. On May 14, 2005, Dan was married to Donna Thrasher at Thrasher's Green Acres Farm, Oriskany. Dan was an avid outdoorsman, dedicated Nascar fan, loved cooking for family and friends whether at home or the Kitlas Restaurant. He devoted his free time to helping his family and friends while also designing and building upgrades to his and Donna's Thrasher's Green Acres Farm. Dan is survived by his wife, Donna of Oriskany; his parents, Daniel, Sr. and Virginia Pieloch of Utica; sisters and their husbands , Regina and Tom Venettozzi , Jean and Jim Engler, Jennifer and Bill Gagnon; in-laws, Joan and Tom Clark, Sandra Russell, and Linda Buckingham. Dan leaves many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends, Ken and Sheila Barrett, Scott Mahardy, and Kevin Wuest. Also left to be loved and cared for by Donna are Dan's dogs, cats and farm animals. Dan's funeral will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church, Utica, where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. His burial will be private at the convenience of his family. Calling hours will be held at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N.Utica, Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM.
