Maureen A. Sullivan, 66, of North Utica passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Maureen was born in Utica on November 23, 1948, a daughter of the late Donald and Peggy (Holcomb) Sullivan. She was raised and educated in Utica and was a 1966 graduate of Utica Catholic Academy and later MVCC. Maureen was employed with Utica National Insurance Co. for over 40 years. She was an avid NY Yankees and NY Jets fan. Maureen is survived by her 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Mary Ellen Sullivan and companion Val Hendricks, of Lake Balboa, CA, Donald Sullivan Jr. and wife Donna, of Whitesboro, James Sullivan and wife Tamara, of Sacramento, CA, and Barbara Peters and husband Joseph, of Utica, 3 sisters-in-law, Anne Sullivan, of Utica, Kimmarie Sullivan, of Utica and Helen Sullivan, of Las Vegas, NV, 2 special friends, Diane Hart, of Whitesboro and Glenn Amrhein, of Sauquoit, and many nieces, nephews , great nieces and great nephews. Maureen was predeceased by her companion Joe Robertson, her grandmother, Edna Holcomb, 2 brothers, Michael Sullivan in 1991, and Lawrence Sullivan in 2014, a sister-in-law, Maureen Sullivan in 1997, and a niece Diana Brinkley. A Memorial Mass for Maureen will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 9:30 at St. Peter's Church, North Utica. The family will receive family and friends at the conclusion of the Mass. Those so wishing may make donations to the American Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association.
