Thomas E. Mulvihill, 92, a resident of the Lutheran Homes, formerly of Clinton, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the home. Tom was born April 12, 1923, in Utica, the son of Patrick Henry and Anna Rose (Schilling) Mulvihill. He was raised and educated locally. Tom served his country with the US Army. He was a self-employed plumber in Clinton and the surrounding area. On April 21, 1951, Tom married Ada Adorino. Mrs. Mulvihill predeceased him. He was a member of the Helmuth-Ingalls American Legion Post # 232. Tom was cherished and will be missed by those who knew him always. Tom is survived by a daughter, Gail Pears, Australia; several nieces and nephews from the Mulvihill and Adorino families, including Steven Mulvihill, Sharon Mulvihill, and Anthony Adorino, Sr.; and a dear friend and caretaker, Jim Clements. Besides his wife, Ada, he was predeceased by his son, Mark Mulvihill; two brothers, Donald and James Mulvihill; a brother-in-law and lifelong friend, Leo Malone; as well as a special friend, Katherine "Kay" Clements. Mr. Mulvihill's funeral services are being held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Utica. Arrangements are entrusted to the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton. Gail offers her thanks and heartfelt appreciation to the nieces and nephews of the Mulvihill and Adorino families as well as the Clements family for the help and love given to Tom.
