Mr. Timothy R. Furman, Sr., 71, of N. Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford with his loving family by his side. Timothy was born in Utica, the son of Robert and Frances (Heiland) Furman. He was raised and educated in Utica and attended MVCC. He proudly served in the Army National Guard, 107th MP Company from 1965 to 1971. On September 28, 1968, Timothy married Dianne M. Parry at Our Lady of The Rosary Church in New Hartford. For 31 years, he was employed with Verizon Telephone Company retiring in 2001. Timothy enjoyed golf, fishing, boating and bike riding but he was happiest spending time with his wife and sons. He was a parishioner of St. Mark's Church in N. Utica. Mr. Furman is survived by his beloved wife Dianne; three sons, Timothy Furman Jr. and Nicole Cunningham of Ballston Spa, NY, Jonathon Furman of Buffalo and Shaun Furman and Lisa Taurisano of Utica; his uncle and aunt, Paul and Jane Heiland of Marcy as well as many cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to Mr. Furman's memorial Mass of Christian burial on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Church, 440 Keys Rd., N. Utica. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of Mass.
