Obituary of Jessie Mallace

Jessie Franck Mallace, 92, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends Saturday, June 27, 2015. Born November 11, 1922 in Albany, NY she was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Mallace. Mrs. Mallace stayed active throughout her life. She enjoyed riding motorcycles on the Blue Ridge Parkway, watching pro wrestling, trying her luck at the casino and dancing to big band music. She enjoyed horseback riding, and attending her grandson's martial arts competitions. She was musically inclined and played several instruments including the ukulele. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who above all else cherished the company of those close to her. Mrs. Mallace is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Rebecca Alberico, grandson Vincent Alberico and his wife Ilana; two great grandchildren, Savina Alberico and Rocco Alberico; Son, Ronnie Mallace; grandsons Antony Mallace and Alex Albano and great grandsons, Antonio Albano and Ceasar Mallace. Mrs. Mallace was loved dearly by Amanda Crenshaw, her daughter Skylar and mother Kathy Lyda and families. She will be sincerely missed by Rose Pimentel and Steve Epson. A funeral service was held on July 2, 2015 in Arden NC. Mrs. Mallace's Rite of Committal and burial will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Cemetery on Mohawk St., in Utica. Family and friends may gather at the St. Agnes Cemetery chapel to pay their final respects to Jessie at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00. The family would like to share deep appreciation to caregiver Elaina Stewart and hospice nurse Leslee Stephenson. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Rd., Flat Rock, NC 28731. Local arrangements have been entrusted to Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., Utica.
