Nancy M. LaVine, 81, of North Utica passed away at home on Monday, June 8, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born in Utica on August 1, 1933, a daughter of James E. and Laurette (Faass) O'Toole. Nancy married Roger J. LaVine at St. Peter's Church, North Utica on May 29, 1954, a blessed union of 52 years until his death on February 21, 2006. For many years she was employed with Cards and Such in the Riverside Mall. Nancy has been a lifelong parishioner of St. Peter's Church, North Utica. She was a gifted painter, avid gardener and incredible cook and baker. Nancy is survived by her four children, Roger and Sheryl LaVine, Jr., of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, William and Linda LaVine of Constantia, NY, David and Leslie LaVine of Baldwinsville, NY and Nancy and Greg Walcutt of Mechanicsville, MD. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by a son Terry LaVine in 1994 and brothers and sisters, Robert O'Toole, James O'Toole, Rose Margaret Meyers and Sheila Ann Moore. Mrs. LaVine's funeral will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 8:45 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., North Utica and at 9:30 from St. Peter's Church, North Utica, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery, North Utica. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday from 4-7.
