Lillian A. Bohrer, 91, of Clinton passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Lillian was born in Utica on May 10, 1924, a daughter of the late John and Bertha (Penree) Eilers. She was raised and educated in Utica and was a 1941 graduate of Utica Free Academy. Lillian married Frank Bohrer at St. Joseph Church on October 27, 1945. For many years she was employed with the Boston Store in Utica and then later until her retirement with Herb Philipson's in New Hartford. Lillian was a lifelong member of St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church, a choir member for 65 years, and a former Parish Council and Adoration Society member. She loved to work on jigsaw puzzles, word search books and in her earlier years was an avid bowler. Lillian is survived by her beloved husband Frank, her four children, John Bohrer and wife Barbara, of Clinton, Christine Robinson and husband Dwight, of Floyd, Janice Bohrer, of Utica and Patricia Carr and husband Charles, of Marcy and a sister-in-law, Patricia Howe and husband David of VA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Lillian was predeceased by a brother, Jack Eilers in 1943. Mrs. Bohrer's funeral will be held on Tuesday June 2, 2015 at 8:45 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 9:30 from St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church, Utica. Entombment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday from 5-8. Those so wishing may make donations to the Mother Marianne West Side Kitchen in Lillian's memory.
