Obituary of Patrick A. Nasto

Patrick A. Nasto, Sr., age 75, passed away at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 3, 2015. Pat was born in Utica, NY on December 8, 1939, the son of Sam (Charlie) & Mary (Riccardi) Nasto. A graduate of TR Proctor High School, he enlisted and proudly served with the US Navy, stationed on the USS Kittiwake ASR 13, which he often spoke of, sharing stories with friends & family. Pat was employed by the Wonder Bread Bakery as a route salesman. Upon his retirement, he was employed by several popular local restaurants - Temptation's, Grimaldi's, Ventura's, Pescatore's & Lynton's to name a few. For several years, Pat served as treasurer of the Social Athletic Club, which brought him sincere enjoyment with many lifetime friends. He felt "The Club" was his home and spent many hours with his fellow club members on a daily basis. In later years Pat spent countless hours on the golf course, playing poker and his favorite pastime playing slots at the Turning Stone Casino and numerous Las Vegas Casinos during his annual extended vacations with his family and friends in Las Vegas, NV Patrick leaves behind his four children: Patrick (Vivian) Nasto, Wellington, FL, Francesca (Marc) Kramer, West Palm Beach, FL, Kelly Ann Nasto, & Samuel Nasto, both of Las Vegas, NV, One brother, Samuel Nasto (Beverly Wilcher) of Las Vegas, NV and one sister, Phyllis (Michael) Reale, North Syracuse, NY, Four grandchildren: Patrick & Gabriella Nasto and Austin & Tyler Kramer as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are his former wife and best friend, Pam (Hobbick) Nasto and sister-in-law and dear friend, Linda (White) Nasto. Pat was predeceased by his grandson Dylan Kramer and his former wife, Congetta (Rosato) Marks. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Road, N. Utica. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Anthony's/St. Agnes Catholic Church, Utica. The family wishes to thank all of his dear friends for the countless prayers and numerous phone calls to his family during his hospitalization in Las Vegas. A very special thank you to Pat's eldest niece, Michelle Elefante (Nasto) and family for their everlasting support and assistance. We feel overwhelming gratitude for the vast outpouring of love and support shown to us in this most difficult time.
