George P. Winters, 38, of Rome passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. George was born in New Hartford on March 14, 1977, the son of Brian L. Winters, Sr. and Sheila (Keyes) Winters Jackson. He was currently employed with Bonide Chemical Co. George was an avid fisherman but he received the most joy from spending time with his son. George is survived by his son, Aiden Winters, Rome, his mother, Sheila Winters Jackson, Holland Patent, his father, Brian L. Winters, Sr., Rome, sisters and brother, Tanya and Joseph Siciliano, Jr., Utica, Brian and Teisha Winters, Jr., Holland Patent and Amanda Shelby, Rome, and a special person in George's life, Connie Buehler. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Calling hours for George will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-8 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica with a funeral service to be held at 8:00. Burial will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Those so wishing may make donations to the needs of the family.
