Rose M. Collins, 94, of Utica, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Focus Rehab & Nursing Center. Rose was born in New York City on November 2, 1920, a daughter of Leo and Loretta (O'Neil) Sullivan. Rose married Halsey J. Collins on April 5, 1942, a blessed union of 42 years until his death in 1984. Prior to her marriage Rose was employed with Merrill Lynch and was the first female margin clerk at that company. Rose was later employed for many years with Utica Head Start. Rose is survived by her children, Virginia Marcelli, of Marcy and Steven Collins and wife Thelma, of Marcy and three grandchildren, Gene, David and Michael Marcelli. Rose was predeceased by two brothers, James Sullivan and Leo "Buddy" Sullivan. Private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
