When I first arrived in Utica to work for the old Daily Press, Ken was one of the first people to make me feel really welcome. He was a tireless reporter, who seemed to know everyone in town and who could recall past events and people and help put stories in proper context. He understood deadlines and hustled on breaking stories. More than that, he had a great sense of humor and was a joy and pleasure to work with. I have great respect for Ken, and my wife Debbie and I want to express our deepest sympathy to his family.
