Mrs. Elaine Romanelli, 84, a resident of the St. Luke's Home in New Hartford, formerly of N. Utica passed away on June 14, 2014 with her loving family beside her. Elaine was born in Utica on September 14, 1929, the daughter of Everell and Mildred (Berray) Weaver She was raised locally, attended Utica schools and nursing school. On January 26, 1949, Elaine married Sebastian Romanelli in New York City. Elaine was a member of Plymouth Bethesda Church in Utica and enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and taking drives in the countryside. She will be remembered most for the love and devotion she had for her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Romanelli is survived by four daughters and three sons-in law, Susan and Anthony Giovinazzo of New Hartford, Diane and Vincent DelMastro of New Hartford, Debbi Romanelli of SC and Toni and Craig Harvey of Deerfield, three sons and one daughter-in-law, James and Eileen Romanelli of Utica, John Romanelli of Utica and Marc Romanelli of SC, as well as 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Dominick, Frank and sister, Norma Lostowski and brother, Barry Weaver. A private funeral and burial will be held at the convenience of Elaine's family. Thank you to St. Luke's Home, and especially Sara and Val who were very compassionate and understanding. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Sauquoit Valley Cemetery.
