Mrs. Eleanor J. Yoworski, 88, of Marcy, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Abraham House in Utica. Eleanor was born in Utica, on August 3, 1925, the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Poplasky) Muller. On October 19, 1946, Eleanor married LeRoy J. Armstrong in Rome, NY, and were devoutly married for 25 years until LeRoy's death in May of 1971. In June of 1972, Eleanor married Carl Yoworski and the coupled shared over 28 years of marriage, until Carl's death in December, 2001. For over 20 years, she was employed with Loblaw's Grocery store in Rome, NY. Eleanor enjoyed cooking and was an avid golfer. Mrs. Yoworski is survived by two daughters and a son. Donna and Tim Yates, Elizabeth Symons and Gary and AnnMarie Armstrong and a step-daughter, Linda Lewis. Eleanor has one living sister, Diane Marlowe, three brothers and one sister-in-law, Henry and Carmeta Muller, Raymond Muller and Charles Muller, as well as nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers: Frances Bean, Chester Muller, Elizabeth Reidman, Donald Muller, "Junior" Muller and step-son, Philip Yoworski. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Eleanor's life on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Life Church, corner of Route 69 and Tannery Rd. in Rome, NY. Immediately following at 3:00 p.m. a memorial celebration will be held to share stories and memories of Eleanor. Her burial, in St. Mary's Cemetery in Rome will be held at the convenience of her family. The family will gladly accept floral offers at the church from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Monday, June 16 or if you so wish, please consider making a donation to the Abraham House, 1203 Kemble St., Utica NY 13501 in Eleanor's memory. Mrs. Yoworski's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Abraham house for the loving care given to Eleanor.
