I've only known John for 5 or 6 years, but he was a blessing to me in many ways. I lost my father about the same time I met John & he was so much like my Dad. John was quiet, loving, smart & gentle. His little smile and subtle humor never failed to brighten my day. He seemed to have an understanding of life and a quiet strength that only comes with great experience. I will miss him, but I count knowing him as one of my blessings.
