Bette Bartlett Domser, 87, of North Utica passed away on Tuesday March 4, 2014 at the Sunset Nursing Home in Boonville. Bette was born in Utica on December 24, 1926 , the daughter of Theodore and Rose (Carey) Wurz. On June 26, 1948 Bette was united in marriage to Douglas L. Bartlett, a blessed union of 56 years until his death on February 23, 2004. On January 19, 2008 she was united in marriage to Dr. Ira L. Domser. She was a parishioner of St. Peter's Church, N. Utica and St. Patrick's Church, Forestport. She was also a member of the Utica Maennerchor, and the Bereavement Group of St. Peter's. Bette especially enjoyed spending her summers at Kayuta Lake surrounded by family and friends. Bette is survived by her husband, Ira, four daughters, Bonnie Clendenin and husband John of St. Croix, Connie Cardinal and Joe Wydra of Maybrook, NY, Debbie Bartlett Platt of Colfax, CA and Mary Harshaw and husband Gene of Orlando, FL, a son, Douglas Bartlett and wife Suzie of Eagle, CO, stepchildren, Ira Domser and wife Patty of MD, Dr. Mark Domser and wife Celia of Trenton, NY, Michele Smith and husband Brian of Remsen, and Mary Beth King and husband Tom of Clinton, a brother, Theodore Wurz and wife Sandy of Deerfield. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bette was predeceased by 5 sisters, Dorothy Cunningham, Kathleen Geesler, Alice Stafford, Esther Domser and Joan Williams and a brother, Robert Wurz. A Memorial Mass for Mrs. Domser will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. from St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. The family will receive visitors at the end of the service. There are no calling hours. A burial will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Forestport, NY at a later date. Those so wishing may make donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
