Obituary of Richard W. Williams

Mr. Richard W. Williams, Sr., 68, of N. Utica, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at his home with his loving family by his side. Richard was born in Utica on March 25, 1945 the son of Robert and Ruth (Wallace) Williams and received his education in Utica schools. On March 25, 1964, Richard married Frances Tripepi, whom he loved and adored for 30 years. For 27 years, he was employed with Strand Flex in Oriskany, NY. Richard enjoyed working on cars, relaxing in the sun and was a country music fan. A true family man, Richard devoted his life to his family, especially his four sons who were most important in his life. He was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Williams is survived by his beloved Frances; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Dick and Michelle Williams of Prattsburg, NY, Michael and Lori Williams of Deerfield, Raymond Williams of Rochester and Dominick and Judy Williams of N. Utica; ten cherished grandchildren, Jessica Provost, Bianca Lupiani, Briannah Williams, Michael Molinaro, Rebecca, Amanda McLennan, Cheri Williams, Raymond Williams, Jr., Brooklyn Williams and Corina Williams; two adored great grandchildren, Brendan Krautwurst and Santino Lupiani; one sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Patrick Delahunt of Camden; two brothers and one sister-in-law, William and Kathleen Williams of Clark Mills and Harry Williams of Albany as well as several nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was predeceased by a sister, Jane Ordway, brother, Robert Williams and nephew, Bobby Williams. Mr. Williams' funeral will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Church, 440 Keyes Rd., N. Utica. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica 13502.
