Marjorie J. Reilly, 91, of the Presbyterian Home and formerly of North Utica passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Marjorie was born in Utica on March 30, 1922 a daughter of Alfred and Helena (Niermeyer) Owens. Marjorie married Leo J. Reilly on December 24, 1959 in Utica a blessed union of 49 years until his death on February 26, 2008. For many years until her retirement in 1961 she was employed with Sperry UNIVAC in Utica. Marjorie was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed traveling, going on bus trips, shopping and going to auctions. Marjorie is survived by her two daughters, Dawn Hammat and husband Dick of Waverly, WV, and Suzanne Masterson and husband Michael of Newton, MA and three grandchildren, Conor, Addie and Claire Masterson of Newton, MA. She was predeceased by a brother, Alfred Owens. Mrs. Reilly's funeral will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 8:15 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and at 9:00 from St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. Entombment will be in the Calvary Mausoleum. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday (Today) from 4-7. Those so wishing may make donations to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society in Marge's memory. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of the Presbyterian Home and a special thanks to Sharon Carraway for being there for Marge throughout the years.
