Mr. Robert L. Holland, 62, of N. Utica, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford. Robert was born in Utica, on February 6, 1952 the son of Donald W., Sr. and Dorothy Jane (Price) Holland. Robert was the proud recipient of the Eagle Scout Badge, had a great interest in the Civil War, collected toy guns and had a unique love and respect for policemen. He also volunteered at the boilermaker, enjoyed his trips to Disney World with his family, attended ARC Day Care in N. Utica, loved his guinea pigs, Gizmo, Chuck and Sprocket but above all else truly enjoyed being with his family. Robert is survived by his loving and devoted sister, Dorothy Jane (Janie) McArthur of N. Utica; a very special nephew, Jason Holland of N. Utica; two very special friends whom Robert adored, Lindsay Maida and Susie Burmaster and dear friends, Janice Wadsworth and N.J. Wadsworth. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Donald W. Holland, II. Robert's funeral will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in Robert's memory, please do so to a charity of your choice.
