June T. Dick, age 87, of Rome, NY, passed away on January 21st, 2014. June was born on July 25, 1926 in Utica, NY. She graduated from Whitesboro High School in 1943. June is predeceased by her husband Robert E. Dick whom she married in 1948. Robert and June enjoyed a loving relationship which began in high school and were married for 62 years. June was a free-lance artist, doing artwork for several photographers, both locally and out of state, winning awards at the N.Y. State Photographers and China Painters of New York conventions. She volunteered for twenty-five years at Faxton St. Lukes Healthcare and served on the auxiliary board. She and her husband were charter members of the Patrician Ball Room Dancers, and she was an avid golfer and gardener. She is survived by her two sons, Bradford Dick (wife, Lucille) of Norwich, and David Leigh of Rome; five grandchildren, Brandon Thrasher, James Dick, Sara Collver, Cheryl Mitchell, and Jennifer Leigh; and eight great grandchildren.
