WHITESBORO- Thomas A. David, 52, of Whitesboro, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, January 6, 2014. Tom was born July 27, 1961, in Cooperstown, NY, the son of George and Barbara (Lamont) David. He was raised and educated in Whitesboro, and a graduate of Whitesboro High School. Tom had been employed with CNY Psychiatric Center in Marcy. He worked prior for several years with Rite Aid Distribution as well as General Electric. On December 12, 1992, Tom married the love of his life, Diane Alexander. He was a devoted husband and took care of his wife until her passing on December 4, 2012. Tom was a very caring and thoughtful man and would help anyone with anything if he had the means to do so. He loved riding his motorcycles, boating, hunting, and playing pool. Tom was a member of the Overseas Veterans Association in New York Mills and of the Whitestown American Legion. Tom is survived by three sisters, Cindy Decker, Pat Kantor, and Lori David; three brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Cheryl David, Gary and Tammy David, and Tim and Kit David; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also surviving is his father-in-law, William Alexander and his family; his close friend Lisa and her family, as well as many dear friends, including his cat, Cheyenne. Mr. David's funeral service will be held at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Whitestown. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday evening, from 4 - 7 pm.
