Lillian R. Barnoskie, 90, of North Utica passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013. Lillian was born on August 6, 1923 in Nanticoke, PA, a daughter of Paul and Stella (Brodowicz) Koscinski. At Holy Trinity Church in Nanticoke, PA on January 5, 1946, Lillian married Paul Barnoskie, a blessed union of 68 years until Mr. Barnoskie's passing just one month ago on December 17, 2013. Lillian was a homemaker who took great pride in her family. For many years she was a volunteer in the library at Jefferson School. She had a love of music and reading. Lillian was a parishioner of St. Peter's Church, North Utica. Lillian is survived by her six children and their spouses, Susan and Richard Simard, FL, Christine and Will Wafford, CA, Donna and John Alexin, OK, Lillian and Stanley Ziarko, New York Mills, NY, Paul and Donna Barnoskie, Jr., Rochester, NY, and Lisa and Mike Flo, Westmoreland, NY, 12 grandchildren and spouses, Richard John and Jenn Simard, Sara and Jamie Bakert, Matthew Wafford, Marika and Jeff Forbes, Robert and Carrie Alexin, Mark and Blair Alexin, Eileen and Gordon Elwell, Jason and Jenna Ziarko, Kyle Barnoskie, Kurt Barnoskie, Michael Flo and Marissa Flo, and several great grandchildren. Lillian was predeceased by a grandson, Steven Simard and one brother Casmier. Mrs. Barnoskie's funeral will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 12.00 at St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. A spring burial will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Those so wishing may make donations to St. Peter's Church in Lillian's memory. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the 3rd floor staff of Faxton St. Luke's Allen Calder Wing for all the loving care given to Lillian.
