Marilyn D. Carino, 80, of Deerfield passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013 in Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Marilyn was born in Utica on April 8, 1933, a daughter of Frederick and Anna (Seeley) Bord. On November 24, 1951 Marilyn was united in marriage to Frank A. Carino, Sr., at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Utica, a blessed union of 62 years. In her early years Marilyn worked as a home healthcare aid. She was of the catholic faith. Marilyn will always be remembered for her artistic ability. She had a passion for drawing and painting and was a talented seamstress and an avid reader of magazines. Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband, Frank, six of her eight children and their spouses and two beloved daughters-in-law, Angelo and Sandra Carino, WA, Toni Carino, Deerfield, Christine Carino, Remsen, Vincent and Cheryl Carino, Ilion, Elaine Carino, WA, Edward and Catherine Carino, Cassville, NY, Karen and Buddy Riggs, WA and Christine Carino, Utica, 3 sisters and spouses, Beverly and Richard Piperata, Utica, Patricia and Bob Piersma, SC and Shirley and Donald Wymann, SC. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Marilyn was predeceased by her two sons, Frank Carino, Jr. in 2003 and Steven Carino in 2010 and a brother, Robert Bord in 1993. A funeral service for Mrs. Carino will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 3:00 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., North Utica. Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday from 12:00 to 3:00. Entombment will take place in the Calvary Mausoleum. The family would like to extend special thanks to Linda Piperata, Marilyn's goddaughter, for all the years of going above and beyond in taking care of her and to the Deerfield Volunteer Fire Department and Kunkel Ambulance Service for all their help.
