Mr. Anthony R. Raffule, Jr., 43, of N. Utica, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica with his loving family by his side. Anthony was born in Utica on June 2, 1970 the son of Anthony R. and Gloria R. (Hazeltine) Raffule. He was raised in Utica, was a graduate of Utica Senior Academy and The Culinary Institute of America. Anthony proudly served in the US Army during Desert Storm. He was employed as a chef with various restaurants throughout the country, most notably; Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Four Seasons in Newport Beach, Holiday Inn in Virginia Beach and truly enjoyed working at his parents' restaurant, the Patio Drive-Inn, in West Utica. Anthony was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing baseball, football, bowling, and participating in long drive golf competitions. He was also a huge Dallas Cowboys and NY Yankees fan. Anthony is survived by his parents, Anthony and Gloria Raffule of N. Utica; sister, Gina Marie Raffule-Roberts of N. Utica; brother, Richard J. Raffule of Buffalo; nieces and nephews, Patrick Pimpinella, Matthew Roberts, Ashley Penge, Stephen Penge and Alyssa Penge; his Godmother, Linda Sinker; In-laws, Leroy Jalonack, Shelly and Stephen Penge and Jeffery Jalonack and Lisa as well as aunts, uncles, and cousin, including 2 special cousins, Bernadette Roy and Francis Roy. Also surviving are his canine companions, LeeLee, Beano and Chloe. He was predeceased by his wife, Gina, grandparents, Anthony and Lucy Raffule and Walter and Ethel Hazeltine and Godfather, Philip Sinker. Mr. Raffule's funeral will be held on Monday evening, December 16, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Interment in Calvary Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours for family and friends are Monday evening from 4:00-7:30 prior to the funeral service.
