Anita A. Lantry, 77, of North Utica, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Anita was born in Syracuse, NY on July 22, 1936, a daughter of Frank and Margaret (Dillon) Buehler. At St. Lucy's Church, Syracuse on August 24, 1957 Anita was united in marriage to William B. Lantry, a blessed union of 49 years until his death on December 31, 2006. Anita was a member of St. Peter's Church, N. Utica, The Red Hat Society, and the North Utica Senior Center. In her spare time, Anita was an avid gardener. Anita is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Bradley Elow, San Diego, CA, and Katherine and David Gray, Marcy, two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Peggy Lantry, Floyd and Brian and Jana Lantry, Sandy Creek, NY, 9 grandchildren, Diana Elow, Brent Elow, Kristina Gray, Andrew Gray, Brandy Cacciatore and husband, Jason, Krista Kidwell and husband, Zach, Shane Lantry and fiancée Amanda Yager, Alison Lantry and Abigail Lantry, 7 great grandchildren, Hunter, Tyler, Ryder, Nicholas and Adrian Cacciatore, Kadence Lantry and Brielle Yager, and two sisters, Laurine Ballard, Bridgeport, NY and Suzanne Meleski, Minoa, NY. Mrs. Lantry's funeral will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 10:15 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and at 11:00 from St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Whitestown. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 5-8.
