Obituary of Annita K. Brown

Annita Kloster Brown, of Camelot Village in Rome, formerly of Utica and Clinton, went to heaven on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. She was at her home with her loving family by her side. Annita was born the first child of Edward and Elizabeth (Clossen) Kloster, on April 30th, (a long time ago.) She was raised and educated in Utica and Clinton, graduating from Clinton Central High School. On October 13, 1956, Annita was married to John L. Brown, Sr., until his passing in 1969. They were blessed with three loving children, John L., Jr., who predeceased her on June 18, 2013; Michael (and Carol) Brown, Fort Myers, FL; Christine Morrock (and Eric Grenier, aka: "Mr. Wonderful"), Rome. On July 21, 1973, Annita and Charlie Ayers were married and merged their families and continued a loving relationship for 40 years, blessing Annita with three stepchildren (and her children with stepsiblings), Kim Ayers, MO, Chuck (and Dina) Ayers, Albany, Michelle Ayers, (and Bob Jones), Frederick, MD. Together they were referred to as the "Funny Bunch" by family and friends. Annita's working career began at NYTel, and later with AT&T. She worked at the Turning Stone Casino and finally retired from ACP, Washington Mills. She made many friends along her journey that she loved dearly. Annita is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Josh, Jessica, and Jeremy Coombs, Hannah Grenier, Nicholas Ayers, Aiden Ayers, Joe, David and Rachel Brown, Ashley and Steven Pemberton; two great grandchildren, Kayden and Karter. She cherished "her babies" and loved to watch Sponge Bob with her Bubby Boy. She also leaves four siblings, Edward (and Linda) Kloster, a very special sister, Mary (and Michael) Stuttard, (who was by her side "through it all"), John (and Stephanie) Kloster, and Patricia (and Jack) Fox, as well as by many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Besides her parents and her son, Annita is predeceased by two sisters, Jean Kloster and Carol Auman. Annita's funeral will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Church, Clinton, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton, Friday evening from 4 - 7 pm. Annita's family offer their thanks and heartfelt appreciation to Drs. Frieberger, Winn, and Petrie for their compassionate care during her illness. Also to the staff of Hospice Care for the care and support during this difficult time. Those wishing may donate to Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. in Annita's memory. "I love you to the moon and back, Mommy.God Bless You!"
