Mr. Bernard E. Kerwin, 80, of Schuyler, passed away on Wednesday July 17, 2013 at the St. Luke's Home in New Hartford with his loving family by his side. Bernard was born in Utica on May 26, 1933, the son of Francis D. and Agnes (Morgan) Kerwin. In 1969, he married Mary Ann Petrowski, a loving union of 43 years. For 28 years until his retirement, Bernard was employed with Wonder Bread in Utica. He was a member of the Eagles Club in Deerfield, Teamsters local 182 and was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Kerwin is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann; one son, James and Carol Kerwin of North Carolina; two step-sons, Stephen and Kathleen Petrowski of Yorkville and David Petrowski of Florida. He also leaves five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, four sisters-in-law and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter, Donna Bosco, one sister and two brothers. Mr. Kerwin's funeral will be held on Friday (today), July 19, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Interment in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Whitesboro will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday (today) from 5:00-7:00 prior to the service.
