Henry was born in Utica on November 27, 1924, the son of George and Nazera Casab. He was raised and educated here in Utica. At a young age, he served his country proudly with the US Navy during World War II. On January 11, 1958, Henry married Kay Foster in Pennsylvania; a union of love and devotion that endured 55 blessed years. He dedicated his working years to providing for his family and will always be remembered as a strong supporter of the union. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with Kelsey Hayes for over 33 years. For many years he enjoyed working at Mid-State Skating Arena, a familiar face at the front door upon entering. After he retired, he enjoyed spending each morning meeting with his friends at Whitey's coffee shop and Sarge's (clubhouse) Garage. As a skilled card player, he took great pleasure winning the after-dinner family card games along with regular visits to the casino. Henry was a member of the former Church of the Sacred Heart and currently with the Church of the Sacred Heart & St. Mary of Czestochowa in New York Mills. Henry is survived by his beloved and ever caring wife Kay Casab, Utica; his devoted daughter and son in law, Tracy and Joseph Fiore, Utica; three proud sons and daughters in law, George and Ruth Casab, Albany, Keith and Peggy Casab, Texas, and Christopher and Denise Casab, Clinton; eight cherished grandchildren were blessed to call him "Grumpa", Keith Jr., Christopher, Nicol, Amanda, Matthew, Christopher Jr., Caitlyn and Danielle; along with three great grandchildren, Skyler, Christopher Jr. and Kaitlyn. Always in his memory, Henry was predeceased by his son Charles Jr., as well as three brothers and three sisters. The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care given to him by his long time doctors Dr. Le, and staff, and Dr. Mathew and staff, along with the devoted staff of the Sitrin Rehab Center.
