Jeanne Marie Jones, 82, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center after a long illness. Jeanne was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on July 19, 1930, the daughter of George and Gertrude (McGuire) Nolan. She was raised and educated in Clark Mills, graduating from Clinton Central High School in 1948. Jeanne went on to graduate from beauty school in Utica. On July 12, 1958, Jeanne married Carl R. Jones at The Church of the Annunciation in Clark Mills, sharing a blessed union of 56 years. After working for Elite Beauty Salon for about a year, she opened her own salon in Clinton. She ran her salon for just over ten years. Jeanne then operated out of her home to be close to her children. When her children attended St. Mary's Catholic School, she would assist in school activities and functions. Her greatest joy was her time spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Jeanne was a member of St. Mary's Church in Clinton. Jeanne is survived by her beloved husband, Carl Jones, Clinton; one son, Richard Jones, Watervliet; two daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and Donald Watlington, Baldwinsville, Karen and Benjamin Stuttard, Oriskany Falls; and four cherished grandchildren, Samuel, Eben, and Ella Stuttard and Daniel Watlington. She is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Nolan. Mrs. Jones' funeral will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, Clinton, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton, Thursday evening from 4 - 7 pm.
