Evelyn G. Cooper, 94, of Frankfort passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in her home. Evelyn was born in Frankfort on January 29, 1919, a daughter of Peter and Carrie (Berg) Withers. In 1947 Evelyn was united in marriage to Leon F. Cooper, a blessed union of 49 years until his death in 1996. For many years she was employed as a Dental Technician in Utica and also worked on the family farm. Evelyn was of the Methodist Faith. For many years Evelyn and her husband Leon were involved with 4-H. Evelyn is survived by her six children; Joan Ward, Utica, Jewell Kent, Remsen, Lucy Cooper, Leon C. (Martha) Cooper, Peter (Sharon) Cooper and Ila Cooper all of Frankfort.. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Evelyn was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Jack Wheeler, 2 sons-in-law, Roger Kent and Robert Ward, a granddaughter, Cynthia (Ward) Jones, a great granddaughter, Madalyn Tomasi, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
