Obituary of Eileen R. Heintz

Please share a memory of Eileen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Eileen Rondeau Heintz, 89, of Tucson, AZ, returned to her God and entered heaven on April 8, 2013. Eileen was born in Syracuse, NY on July 17, 1923. She grew up in Whitesboro, NY and proudly served in the U.S Navy as a Wave during WWII. She married Jack Heintz in 1946 and together reared four children. Eileen and Jack moved their family to Tucson in 1959. She was preceded in death by her natural mother Kathleen Murphy; her adopted parents Amos and Sue Rondeau; her brothers Amos, Leonard, and Lloyd Rondeau; her husband Jack Heintz; her daughter June Aubry; and her grandson Joe Dull. She is survived by children Gary Heintz (Jeanne), Colleen Dull (Paul), Jim Heintz (Susie); son-in-law David Aubry; brother Herb Rondeau; and sister-in-law Peg Rondeau. Also, God gifted Eileen with ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Eileen was an administrative assistant at St. Joseph's Hospital when it first opened and volunteered at El Dorado Hospital during her retirement. She loved to read, solve crossword puzzles, play video poker, and never missed a day praying her rosary or doing her "Navy Exercises." Her optimism, curiosity, and kindness will continue to inspire us all. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's/Dementia Organization of your choice. Services will be held on Saturday, April 13th at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Tucson, Arizona.
